Dangerous sex: Autoerotic Asphyxiation
The autoerotic asphyxiation, a. k. a. AeA, is a
sexual practice that consists in cutting off air supply in breathing,
usually through self-strangulation, so as to enhance orgasm intensity
during lonesome masturbation. The obtained pleasure by an autoerotic
asphyxiation, in theory, is better, so because the body reaches
the state of near asphyxia, more endorphin gets produced due to
ongoing blood supply shortage in the brain. In AeA, however, people
can lose control and so fail in remaining conscious to remove the
devices of asphyxia, which may result in unprovoked suicide.
According to surveys, as much as 99% of those into
autoerotic asphyxiation are men. In addition, regular patrons are
adolescents and kids in puberty as well. These ones, differently
from adult men, are more inclined to die when doing AeA, since unlike
to get a good control over their breathing rate and the timing to
call it off within safety range. Most who lost their next of kin
from AA supported campaigns to prevent others from loosing theirs.
This sexual practice, however, gets disclosed at first usually when
someone dies accidentally from it.
Its believed that autoerotic asphyxiation
stems from a sexual fantasy spree involving aspects of controlling
over own death. Reports of AeA practitioners say, ironically, that
the harder it is to escape, the better the fantasy is. Others believe
otherwise, its a paraphilia-something of a sexual
dysfunction someone would learn by accident or experiments in and
that order associates with sexual allure. Some of them go by the
use of plastic bags over their heads and experiment an erection,
wanting to do it again.
In short, any given problem involving death by autoerotic
asphyxiation becomes critical when people are impaired by alcohol,
which affects their judgment. Most families who had a victim of
AeA suggest that the practice must be stopped to avoid other deaths.
They believe that it can be resolved through education, counseling
and emotional support. If it is a vice, people should do it with
a partner near and without the help of objects, by just disrupting
the respiratory process naturally, up until the moment they need
air again.
